- Mildred Pierce (1945) [Monte Beragon]: Shot to death by Ann Blyth; we see him in flashbacks leading up to that point, revealing Ann as the killer.
- Flamingo Road (1949) [Fielding Carlisle]: Commits suicide (off-camera) by shooting himself in the head in Joan Crawford's home, after he confesses to her that he and Sydney Greenstreet framed David Brian. We hear the shot from the other room while Joan is getting a drink for Zachary, and his body is shown when she rushes in and sees him.
- Colt .45 (1950) [Jason Brett]: Shot in the chest by Randolph Scott in the jailhouse; he dies after walking outside and collapsing. (Thanks to Brian)
