Film Deaths[]

  • The Cat and the Canary (1978/9) [Alison Crosby]: Slashed to death (off-screen) by Peter McEnery; her body is shown afterwards (with a bag over her head) when it falls down a secret passage behind a cabinet. Her face is uncovered by Michael Callan, but the scene cuts away to the others' reactions before we actually see it.
  • Making Love (1982) [Winnie Bates]: Dies (off screen) of old age, we learn of this when Michael Ontkean and Kate Jackson attend her funeral.
  • Anne of Avonles (Anne of Green Gables: The Sequel) (1987) [Mrs. Harris]: Reportedly dies, off-screen of old age/natural causes; we only see her closed coffin during her funeral. (I haven't seen this movie myself) (Thanks to D)
