Walter Abel (1898 - 1987)

Film Deaths

  • Wake Island (1942) [Cmdr. Roberts]: Dies (off-screen) from injuries received in the first battle against the Japanese, or is killed once the Japanese overrun the island. (Ironically his character is based off of Cmdr. Winfield S. Cunningham who actually survived the battle and was taken prisoner by the Japanese).
