- The Brain That Wouldn't Die (The Head That Wouldn't Die) (1962) [Jan Compton]: After being decapitated in a car accident when Jason Evers loses control while driving, her severed head is kept alive in Jason's laboratory. She is finally burned to death after a fire breaks out during a struggle between Jason and Eddie Carmel in the laboratory; the movie ends with a shot of her head on the table as the laboratory is engulfed in flames.
