- Cyrano de Bergerac (1990) [Christian de Neuvillette] Mortally wounded (off-screen) after attacking the enemy forces. He dies while talking to his lover and his best friend amid the battlefield.
- The Crow: City of Angels (1996) [Ashe Corven]: Shot and killed by Iggy Pop after Vincent and Eric Acosta witness Iggy and other members of Richard Brooks' gang beating and murdering an unnamed man. Vincent comes back to life to avenge his and Eric's deaths and returns to the grave once his mission is completed.
- Le Bossu (1997) [Philippe de Nevers]: Stabbed in the back by his cousin (Fabrice Luchini) during a swordfight with Fabrice's men, he dies afterward in Daniel Auteuil's arms.
- Swept from the Sea (1997) [Yanko Gooral]: Dies from a fever, with Rachel Weisz in her arms.
- I Dreamed of Africa (2000) [Paolo Gallmann]: Killed in a car crash.
