Victor Mature (1913 - 1999)

Film Deaths[]

  • My Darling Clementine (1946) [Dr. John 'Doc' Holliday]: Shot in the chest by Mickey Simpson in the shoot-out with the Clanton brothers at the OK Corral; he dies shortly after shooting Fred Libby in return. (This is historically inaccurate; Doc Holliday actually died of tuberculosis several years after the shoot-out.)
  • Samson and Delilah(1949) [Samson]: Crushed to death when he pushes the temple's support columns down.
  • Chief Crazy Horse (1955) [Chief Crazy Horse]: He refuses to be locked up in the jail at Fort Robinson and is bayoneted in the back by Ray Danton. He staggers outside and dies in the arms of his wife, Suzan Ball.
  • Zarak (1956) [Zarak Khan]: Executed by being flogged to death.
  • China Doll (1958) [Capt. Cliff Brandon]: I recall he was killed in the film, but I forget the details.
  • The Tartars (1961) [Oleg]: Killed in a battle with Orson Welles.
