- Aelita (Aelita: Queen of Mars) (1924) [Natasha, Los' Wife]: Shot to death in the back by her jealous husband (Nikolai Tsereteli) who thought she was having an affair with Pavel Pol as she was trying to escape from him by running up a stairwell. Her body is shown later in a coffin at her wake. Also near the films end when Nikolai kills Yuliya Solntseva he sees her as Valentina (as do we). The whole thing turns out to be an elaborate day dream that Nikolai was having and Valentina in reality survives the film.
