Tully Marshall (1864 - 1943)
Film Deaths[]
- Oliver Twist (1916) [Fagin]: Possibly executed by hanging. (I haven't seen this version, so I don't know how closely it follows the novel or whether Fagin's execution is included.)
- He Who Gets Slapped (1924) [Count Mancini]: Mauled to death by a lion (off-screen) after Lon Chaney releases the lion into the circus office.
- The Merry Widow (1925) [Baron Sadoja]: Dies of natural causes on his wedding night before he can consummate his marriage to Mae Murray.
- The Cat and the Canary (1927) [Roger Crosby]: Presumably killed by Forrest Stanley. (I haven't seen this version, but I have seen Wendy Hiller's death in the 1979 version, which Crosby was female.)
- Fighting Caravans (1931) [Jim Bridger]: Shot in the back by a soldier while fighting natives. His body is shown (along with Ernest Torrance's) when Gary Cooper finds them. They are then buried.
- This Gun for Hire (1942) [Alvin Brewster]: Dies of a heart attack in his office, after trying to shoot Alan Ladd with his pen-gun.
