Synopsis[]
One early afternoon, a group of hardened ex-cons led by rigid Ryder (John Travolta), who's real raw deal for a minor crime has toughed him into a harsh career criminal, that swiftly seizes control New York City's Subway 6 train Pelham 123. Demoted supervisor turned dispatcher Walter Garber (Denzel Washington) suddenly finds himself being a reluctant hostage negotiator as Ryder and his gang demand ten million in cash within one hour or they start gunning down hostages, with all four hijackers ready to die than be caught.
