- This movie was delayed from November 15, 2019 to February 14, 2020. It was delayed again to September 18, 2020, then again to February 12, 2021 and then again to August 2021, then finally to December 22, 2021.
- Tom Hollander previously played George V in The Lost Prince (2003). Additionally, here he also plays the British monarch's cousins Wilhelm II of Germany and Nicholas II of Russia. The physical resemblance between George and Nicholas has often been remarked upon.
