- Body doubles, stunt doubles, and CGI were used to complete the film following Heath Ledger's death. Ledger died on January 22, 2008 following a drug overdose in New York City. Johnny Depp, Jude Law, and Colin Farrell were provided to use as stand-ins to finish Ledger's role.
