Synopsis[]
An ex-con gets involved in the domestic issue of a police officer and his family when he moves into an old apartment building. His involvement, however, brings him more trouble than he bargained for.

- The neighbors in the movie experienced the phenomenon that has become known as the bystander effect or "Genovese syndrome" especially diffusion of responsibility about Kitty Genovese murder in 1964, Queens NY.
- Original film title translates to Shout or Scream. However it was changed for both the original and this film to The Echo to avoid confusion with another existing horror
