Film Deaths

The Pledge (2001) [Ginny Larsen]: Murdered by an unknown killer (off-screen). There are two possible suspects, one who may or may not have been involved in the girl's death. One being Benicio del Toro (a Native American with a mental disability) who commits suicide by shooting himself in the mouth following a police standoff after confessing to murdering the little girl to police while in custody. Another being Tom Noonan (a local pastor), who is killed in a firey car crash in a collision with a freight truck. Its never directly specified that either Benecio, Tom, or some other guy, commited the crime. The film ends with Jack Nicholson sitting outside a desolate gas station, mumbling to himself in a drunken state of disgrace, apparently indicating that the perpetrator is still out there.
