- Return of a Stranger (The Face Behind the Scar) (1937) [*Mr West]: Murdered off-camera by James Harcourt who enters the hotel room of Griffith Jones after Griffith has pushed Tarva during a brief struggle and he has fallen and hit his head on the fire guard. Tarva is still groggy when James enters the room and steals the £5000 Tarva was carrying. A little later his body is found and James later admits to killing him. *On the IMDB Tarva's character has no name but he introduces himself to Griffith as Mr West, senior partner of solicitors West, West and West.
