Ikiru (1952) [Kanji Watanabe]: Dies off-screen of cancer. The film time jumps in the middle to his memorial.
The Hidden Fortress (Kakushi-toride no san-akunin) (1958) [The Old General, Izumi Nagakura]: Dies off-screen when the mountain hideout is attacked. We just see him preparing to fight and when Toshiro Mifune looks back the mountain location is on fire.
Yojimbo (The Bodyguard) (1961) [Tokuemon - Sake Brewer]: Murdered off-screen with a sword by Kamatari Fujiwara. We just see Fujiwara chase him into a shack and then come out with a bloody sword.
Sanjuro (Tsubaki Sanjuro) (1962) [Kurofuji]: Commits hara-kiri off-screen. His death is mentioned to Toshiro Mifune.
Frankenstein Conquers the World (Furankenshutain tai chitei kaijû Baragon)(1965) [Axis Scientist]: Dies when the lab he's in explodes.
Zatoichi's Conspiracy (Shin Zatôichi monogatari: Kasama no chimatsuri) (1973) [Sakubei]: Stabbed to death by a Yazkua in his home.
Prophecies of Nostradamus (1974) [Hospital Director]: Dies in the oval office of the virus.
Godzilla vs. Destoroyah (1995) [Dr. Kyohei Yamane]": Though it was made 13 years after his real-life death, it's mentioned his character from the 1954 original film had passed away by this point.
