- Hell is For Heroes (1962) [Reese]: After being shot twice in the back and chest, he throws a satchel chart into a pillbox but it does not explode, but as the battle is going on, McQueen grabs the satch chart and puts it in but a German machine gunner shoots it, killing him and the rest of the Germans in the pillbox.
- The War Lover (1962) [Buzz Rickson]: Killed in a plane crash while trying to fly his damaged plane back to England.
- The Sand Pebbles (1966) [Jake Holman]: Shot by Chinese nationalists as he tries to get back to his ship.
- Tom Horn (1980) [Tom Horn]: Executed by hanging.
