  • The Man They Could Not Hang (1939) [Bob Roberts]: Poisoned in a glass "gas chamber" (with Stanley's own consent) by Boris Karloff as part of an experiment in reviving the dead; the police arrive and arrest Boris before the experiment is complete, preventing Stanley's revival.
  • The Man with Nine Lives (1940) [Bob Adams]: Shot in the back by Boris Karloff when Stanley tries to burn Boris' notes. (Thanks to Dignan)
  • The Face Behind the Mask (1941) [Harry]: Shot in the stomach in a shoot-out in the desert.
