Synopsis[]

It surpassed Bridgerton as Netflix's most-watched series to date.
The concept of the program was originally created around 2008. The show's creator, Hwang Dong-hyuk, was unable to find a production company to fund the idea until Netflix took an interest around 2019.
With the conclusion of the first season, there were rumors that Hwang Jun-ho (portrayed by Wi Ha-joon) never died, with fans saying he fell into the ocean and tried to swim his way back into the city. This was confirmed in Season 2, with him being rescued by a boat and taken to a hospital.
