- Ouija (2014) [Debbie Galardi]: Hangs herself after being possessed by the spirit of Sierra Heuermann. She later reappears as a ghost to help Olivia Cooke defeat Sierra. (A trailer for the film depicts an alternate death scene where Shelley is thrown from her balcony and hits a chandelier.)
- Unfriended (2015) [Blaire]: Killed by the spirit of Heather Sossaman (off-screen); the film cuts to black right as Heather attacks her.
