Sebastian Shaw (1905 - 1994)
Film Deaths[]
- Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi (1983) [Anakin Skywalker a.k.a. Darth Vader]: Fatally injured with a barrage of energy (force lightning) by Ian McDiarmid as he grabs/kills Ian. He later allows himself to be finished off by requesting his son (Mark Hamill) to remove his mask/breathing support and dies whilst talking to Mark. Mark later cremates his body. He later appears as a spirit, standing beside the spirits of Alec Guinness and Frank Oz; (however, in the DVD release, the images of Sebastian's unmasked face and spirit had both been replaced with Hayden Christensen) (Note: Due to the "triple-cast" nature of this role being shared with David Prowse and James Earl Jones, it'll be listed for all three actors.)
TV Deaths[]
- Julius Caesar (1938) [Marcus Brutus]: Commits suicide by throwing himself on his sword. (I haven't seen this version, but I'm familiar with the play.)
- Hamlet (1947) [Claudius]: Presumably killed by John Byron. (I haven't seen this version, but were familiar with the play)
