- She (1935) [John Vincey]: Dies as a result of radiation poisoning, after talking to his nephew (Randolph Scott) in his study.
- Man Made Monster (1941) [Dr. John Lawrence]: Strangled by Lon Chaney Jr. (Thanks to Dignan)
- Grand Central Murder (1942) [Roger Furness]: Electrocuted when he falls onto the third rail while fleeing from police in Grand Central Station.
- It's a Wonderful Life (1946) [Peter 'Pa' Bailey]: Dies (off-screen) of a stroke. We only see a scene of his son (James Stewart) being informed of the stroke; his death is confirmed in the following scene when James, Lionel Barrymore, and the other board members discuss what to do with Samuel's business.
