- Dragon Ball Z: Such Regret...!! The Proud Saiyan Vegeta Dies (1991; anime) [Vegeta]: Shot in the chest by Frieza (Ryusei Nakao) via laser beam from his finger; he dies shortly after talking to Goku (Masako Nozawa). Revived by the Earth's Dragon Balls in the episode, I am Son Goku's Son!! Gohan Returns to the Battlefield.
- Dragon Ball Z: For Those Whom He Loves... Vegeta Perishes!! (1994; anime) [Vegeta]: Killed in an explosion using a technique to blow himself up with Majin Buu (Kozo Shioya). Revived by the Namekian Dragon Balls in the episode, Vegeta's Secret Plan!! Polunga and the Two Wishes.
- Trigun: Fifth Moon (1998; anime) [E.G. Mine]: Impaled by Rai-Dei the Blade (Akio Otsuka) for his failure to defeat Vash (Masayo Onosaka).
