- Romeo and Juliet (1966) [Romeo]: Commits suicide by taking poison, in his grief while wrongly believing that Margot Fonteyn is dead. (This was a filmed performance of the Prokofiev ballet adaptation of Shakespeare's play.)
- Valentino (1977) [Rudolph Valentino]: Dies of pleurisy. His body is shown during his funeral at the beginning of the movie, and the rest of the movie proceeds in flashback ending with him collapsing and dying.
