Rose Hobart in The Cat Creeps

Rose Hobart (1906 - 2000)

Film Deaths:[]

  • Tower of London (1939) [Anne Neville]: Possibly killed (off-screen) by either Basil Rathbone or Boris Karloff, the last time we see her was at the wedding scene and she was not seen for the rest of the movie so we can safely say she was killed.
  • The Adventures of Smilin' Jack [Ch. 13, Sinking the Rising Sun] (1943) [Fraulien Von Teufel]: After being betrayed by Turhan Bey who tied her to a support post in the center of their command center and moved up the command for Japanese bombers to strike half an hour sooner with instructions for them to destroy the command post. Rose is killed by an explosion when a plane drops a bomb right in front of her.
  • The Soul of a Monster (1944) [Lilyan Gregg]: Pushed of a window by George Macready, after she repeatedly shoots him to no effect; her body is shown lying in the street below afterwards. The entire story turns out to be a dream sequence showing what would happen if Jeanne Bates called on evil forces to save George, rather than praying to God.
  • Conflict (1945) [Kathryn Mason] Murdered by Humphrey Bogart
  • The Cat Creeps (1946) [Connie Palmer]: Killed (off-screen, I don't know the exact method) by Douglas Dumbrille; her body is shown afterwards when Fred Brady discovers her.
