Rondo Hatton just before his death in The Pearl of Death

Rondo Hatton (1894 - 1946)

Film DeathsEdit

  • The Pearl of Death (Sherlock Holmes in the Pearl of Death) (1944) [The Creeper]: Shot to death (off-camera) by Basil Rathbone as Rondo approaches Basil menacingly; we only hear the shots from the other room after the camera cuts away.
  • The Jungle Captive (1945) [Moloch the Brute]: Shot to death by Otto Kruger after Rondo turns against him and tries to stop Otto from killing Amelita Ward. (Thanks to Tom)
  • The Spider Woman Strikes Back (1946) [Mario]: Burned to death, along with Gale Sondergaard, after Gale attempts to destroy some evidence and the fire goes out of control.
  • House of Horrors (1946) [The Creeper]: Shot to death by Bill Goodwin just as Rondo is about to kill Virginia Grey. (Rondo subsequently played "The Creeper" in the later 1946 film The Brute Man, but that was set before the events of House of Horrors, rather than a revelation that he survived the shooting in this film.)
