As a parody of Jean-Pierre Marielle's death in that film, Robert is chased through hallways by an unknown figure, before being impaled with a giant number seven, with his blood appearing as numbers, which David Mitchell tells James Bachman are all Numberwang. Later, while parodying Ian McKellen's character, Robert is found dead by David and Joanna Neary, although it's later indicted in the sketch that the twist of the movie would be that Robert faked his death. (Played for comic effect.)

Robert falls onto the hood of his car, while David Mitchell looks on from the drivers seat, commenting that death is sadder during the holidays, with minimal emotion. (Played for comic effect.)
- That Mitchell and Webb Look: Episode 4:1 (2010) [Luke]: Shot in the chest by David Mitchell, after Robert incorrectly uses the word whoever instead of whomever. (Played for comic effect.)
