Robert Drivas' death in The Wild Wild West: The Night of the Burning Diamond

Robert Drivas (1935 - 1986)

Film Deaths[]

  • The Illustrated Man (1969) [Willie]: Playing multiple roles in the four stories: In "The Long Rain," he commits suicide by shooting himself with a laser after being driven mad by the endless rain; we only hear the shot after Rod Steiger walks away. In the framing story, he is strangled by Rod in a vision of the future when Robert looks at Rod's moving tattoos; Robert then bludgeons Rod with a rock and the movie ends with Rod regaining consciousness and going after Robert, implying that the vision will soon come true.

Television Deaths[]

  • The Wild Wild West: The Night of the Burning Diamond (1966) [Morgan Midas]: Burned to death after alcohol spills on him and ignites from the air friction while he's moving at superhuman speed.
  • The F.B.I.: The Executioners: Part 2 (1967) [Paul Clementi]: Dies (off-screen) of gunshot wounds by Walter Pidgeon. He is last seen alive in an ambulance and his death is mentioned in the epilogue.
