- Head Office (1985) [Howard Gross]: Suffers a heart attack while making a deal on the phone. (Played for comic effect)
- Little Shop of Horrors (1986) [Seymour Krelborn]: Although Moranis survives the final cut, an alternate ending (available on the director's cut Blu-Ray disc) shows him being eaten by the monster-plant Audrey II (voiced by Levi Stubbs). Audrey II then spits out Rick's glasses. (Played for semi-comedic effect)
- Splitting Heirs (1993) [Henry Bullock]: In the Hindu Dream sequence, he is shot through the head with an arrow by Eric Idle (He survives the film in reality). (Played for comic effect)
