Richard Mulligan (1932 - 2000)
Film Deaths[edit | edit source]
- Little Big Man (1970) [General George Armstrong Custer]: Shot in the back with arrows by Cal Bellini, just as Richard is about to kill Dustin Hoffman (historically inaccurate for the most part, since Dustin and Cal's characters never actually existed, and Custer was actually shot twice; one below in his heart and the other one in his left temple).
- S.O.B. (1981) [Felix Farmer]: Shot to death by police as he tries to steal back his film negatives from the lab, when they mistake his water pistol for a real gun. His body is shown again afterwards as William Holden, Robert Preston, and Robert Webber steal his body from the funeral home and set him adrift in a burning boat for a "Viking funeral."
TV Deaths[edit | edit source]
- Little House on the Prairie: Soldier's Return (1976) [Granville Whipple]: He relapses into morphine addiction which cause in his eventual suicide and dies (off-screen). Michael Landon keeps looking for the search of Granville.
- The Twilight Zone: The Toys of Caliban (1986) [Ernest Ross]: Burned to death, along with his son (David Greenlee), when Richard shows David a picture of fire and David brings the fire into the real world.
