- Riders of the Deadline (1943) [Tim Mason]: Shot in the stomach by Hugh Prosser, who claims that Richard is trying to escape from jail.
- None Shall Escape (1944) [Willie Grimm]: Shot in the back by his uncle (Alexander Knox) after Richard disobeys Alexander by going to church to pray over Dorothy Morris' body.
- Man in the Saddle (The Outcast) (1951) [Juke Virk]: Shot in the head (off-screen) by Richard Rober during a cattle stampede; his body is shown afterwards when his brother (Cameron Mitchell) discovers him.
- The Alligator People (1959) [Paul Webster]: Drowned in quicksand when he runs out into the swamp after transforming into his reptilian form.
