- Deathdream (Dead of Night) (1974) [Andy Brooks]: Shot in the chest by a Viet Cong sniper in Vietnam; he returns as an undead being, and finally dies once more after he goes too long without injecting himself with blood. He dies as he buries himself in a shallow grave, as his mother (Lynn Carlin) looks on helplessly. (In the opening scene showing his actual death in combat, the part was played by Gary Swanson, as that prologue scene was filmed later, after Richard was no longer available.)
