Reptilian 1999

Reptilian, also known as Yonggary, is a 1999 American-South Korean co-production directed by Shim Hyung-rae, who later directed Dragon Wars. It is a remake of Yongary: Monster From The Deep in the spirit of the previous year's American Godzilla. It is known for having a heavily edited version called 2001 Yonggary being the only version of the film to get a known home media release.

Plot[]

Paleotoligist Dr. David "Dave" Campbell (Richard B. Livingston) is called over to the Ural Mountains by the .U.S. Military to investigate a recent series of deaths that they think might be the work of a serial killer, but it is all dismissed by Campbell to be the work of a large animal. The creature, dubbed "Yonggary", heads to Los Angeles and it's up to Dave, his ex-girlfriend, reporter Holly Davis (Donna Philipson, .C.I.A. agent Nolan Hughes (Harrison Young) and Holly's cameraman, Bud Black (Brad Sergi) to save the Earth from the reptilian menace (and its babies).
