- The Replacement Killers (1998) [Alan Chan]: Tortured and mortally wounded by Kenneth Tsang's thugs. He dies while is talking to Chow Yun-Fat.
- Anna and the King (1999) [General Alak]: Killed in an explosion/burned to death when one of Chow Yun-Fat's cohorts sets off the explosives strapped under the bridge as Kim is about to shoot Chow with a rifle.
- The Matrix Reloaded (2003) [The Keymaker]: Shot to death by Hugo Weaving and his multiple duplicate programs; he dies while talking to Laurence Fishburne and Keanu Reeves.
- Kung Fu Panda (2008; animated) [Master Oogway]: Playing the voice of a tortoise, he passes on after achieving inner peace by transforming into several flower pedals after talking to Master Shifu (voiced by Dustin Hoffman). He appears in flashbacks and as a spirit throughout the rest of the franchise.
- Ninja Assassin (2009) [Tattoo Master]: Slashed with a sword/decapitated (off screen) by Rick Yune.
- Dragonball: Evolution (2009) [Grandpa Gohan]: Crushed to death by rubble after James Marsters uses his powers to destroy Randall's house; he dies while talking to his grandson (Justin Chatwin).
