- Weird Woman (1944) [David Jennings]: Shot in the chest by Lon Chaney Jr. when the gun goes off in a struggle. He is later mentioned of dying of his wound.
- Star Wars (Star Wars: Episode IV: A New Hope) (1977) [Uncle Owen Lars]: Killed (off-screen), along with Shelagh Fraser, by Stormtroopers in a raid on their home. Their charred bodies are shown among the ruins when Mark Hamill arrives at the scene.
TV Deaths[]
- The Martian Chronicles (1980) [Mr. Black]: Dies (off-screen) many years before the events of the movie, presumably of old age. A Martian imitating Phil appears to deceive and eventually kill Nicholas Hammond.
