At an elite private school, Sick and tired of his teammate Odin James (Mekhi Phifer) success and favoritism over him by his coach father Duke Goulding (Martin Sheen) and Dean Bob Brable (Christopher McDonald) Insanely jealous Hugo (Josh Hartnett) is driven by the green eyed monster into setting in motion a chain of events that will destroy his former best mate and everyone he cares for, starting with Odin's girlfriend (Dean's daughter) Desi (Julia Stiles)
