Film Deaths[]
- The Ditch (Dobu) (1954) [Tsuru]: Is shot to death.
- Human (Ningen) (1962) [Gorosuke]: Accidentally falls to her death down the hold of a boat while dancing in celebration of seeing land for the first time in two months.
- Onibaba (1964) [Kichi's Mother]: Possibly falls to her death as she tries to jump over a pit she used to kill samurai. The film ends as she is jumping over, and it's not clear if she makes the jump.
- Kuroneko (Yabu no naka no kuroneko; Black Cat) (1968) [Yone]: Killed (off-screen) along with Kiwako Taichi after being raped by a group of Samurai who then set fire to the house. Their bodies are shown afterwads, miraculously intact in the ashes of the house, as a cat approaches them. They appear as "cat-woman" ghosts throughtout the rest of the movie.
