Music Video Deaths[]

  • ''My Favourite Game" (1998) (The Cardigans music video) Stands up while driving her car, which subsequently crashes into a van driven by Bengt Lagerberg and carrying the rest of the band seemingly intentionally; this music video has five alternate endings, with a different fate for her in each one; two where she dies (the "Dead Version", where she is sent flying and her body lands on the road, and the "Head Version" where she is decapitated by the windscreen and her head is then shown rolling onto the road), one where her fate is left ambiguous (the "Stone Version", where her nose visibly bleeds after the fall and she is knocked out when the stone that she held the pedal down with falls on her head; whether she is dead or simply unconscious is unclear) and two where she survives (the "Walkaway Version", where she is also sent flying but simply picks herself up off the ground and walks away unharmed afterwards, and the censored version, where the crash is simply removed from the video.)
  • "Erase/Rewind" (1999) (The Cardigans music video) Crushed between two moving walls, along with the rest of the band (Peter Svensson, Magnus Sveningsson, Lars-Olof Johansson and Bengt Lagerberg), at the end of the video. (There is an alternate version of this music video in which the door opens before the walls close in on each other, allowing the band to escape.)
