- Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay (2008) [Neil Patrick Harris]: Shot to death by Beverly D'Angelo while attempting to escape from her whorehouse after attempting to brand one of her employees with a red-hot branding iron while John Cho and Kal Penn look on in shock; he is later resurrected at the end of the credits. - A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas (2011) [Neil Patrick Harris]: After being shot by Beverly D'Angelo in the previous film, Neil arrives in Heaven and is brought back to life when Jesus (Jake Johnson) orders him to be kicked out; this flashback is shown as Neil tells John Cho and Kal Penn of how he was brought back to life. - The Matrix: Resurrections (2021) [The Analyst]: Although he is shown to ‘’die’’ twice, but since Neil is not technically human but is part of the machine he does not get destroyed. Neil is first ‘’killed’’ when he is shot to death by Jonathan Groff, but he later reappears. He is then ‘’killed’’ a second time when he gets his throat slit by Carrie-Anne Moss. He survives throughout the film.

- How I Met Your Mother: Bedtime Stories (2013) [Barney Stinson/Staten Island Lou/Tuxedo Charlie/Bronx Donnie/Captain Bill/Pickle Jar Bob]: Playing multiple roles in a fantasy story Jason Segel is telling, all of Neil's other characters are poisoned by "Barney" (Barney survives the episode). - A Series of Unfortunate Events: The End (2019) [Count Olaf]: Shot in the stomach with a harpoon gun by Peter MacNicol. He spends the rest of the episode slowly dying before finally succumbing to his wound, lying next to Allison Williams.

- Saints Row IV (2013) [DJ Veteran Child]: Playing a computer program version of Veteran Child, Neil is disintegrated by the player with a specialized gun when the player attempts to rescue Danielle Nicolet. Another program version of Neil becomes available as an ally in the game.
