Summary[]
Looking for any way to get away from the life and the town he was born into, Tripp (Lucas Till), a high school senior, builds a Monster Truck with bits and pieces of scrapped cars. After an accident at a nearby oil-drilling site displaces strange subterranean creature called Creech with a taste for speed, Tripp may have just found the key to getting out of his town and an unlikely friend. Teaming up with tutor Meredith (Jane Levy) he discovers from Dr. Jim Dowd (Thomas Lennon) that not only are there more like Creech but an entire newly discovered eco-system which Jim's employers such as oil baron Reece Tenneson (Rob Lowe) and his right hand man Burke (Holt McCallany) intend to eradicate in order to salvage their industry, leaving Tripp racing against time to protect and save these living fossils from extinction.
