Film Deaths[]

  • Dragon Ball: Sleeping Princess in Devil's Castle (1997; anime) [Master Roshi/Lucifer/Ghastel]: Ghastel is tricked into getting eaten by a swamp monster by Goku (Ceyli Delgadillo) and Krillin (Laurie Steele); Lucifer is vaporized by his sun-destroying cannon after Goku redirects it at him; Roshi survives the movie.
  • Dragon Ball Z: Bardock - The Father of Goku (2000; anime) [Tora/Toolo]: After being severely beaten by Dodoria (Chris Forbis), Tora dies in Bardock's (Sonny Strait) arms; Toolo is blown up with a Ki blast by Bardock.
  • Dragon Ball Z: Cooler's Revenge (2002; anime) [Dore/Yajirobe/Master Roshi]: Dore is blown up with an energy blast by Piccolo (Christopher Sabat); Yajirobe and Roshi survive the movie.

Television Deaths[]

  • Dragon Ball Z: Vegeta Attacks (2001; anime) [Pui Pui]: Incinerated with an energy blast by Vegeta (Christopher Sabat).
  • Dragon Ball Z: Feeding Frenzy (2002; anime) [Master Roshi]: Turned into chocolate and eaten by Super Buu (Justin Cook). Revived by the Namekian Dragon Balls in the episode, Earth Reborn.
  • YuYu Hakusho: A Matter of Love and Death (2003; anime) [Risho/Butajiri]: Butajiri has his head exploded by Toguro (Dameon Clarke) with a flick of his finger; Risho survives the episode.
  • Dragon Ball: Roshi's Gambit (2003; anime) [Master Roshi/Yajirobe]: Dies after using the Evil Containment Wave in an attempt to seal King Piccolo (Christopher Sabat). He is later brought back to life with the Dragon Balls in the episode Eternal Dragon Resurrected. Yajirobe survives the episode.
  • Dragon Ball GT: Baby Put to Rest (2004; anime) [Baby]: Killed inside his spaceship when Super Saiyan 4 Goku (Sean Schemmel) pushes it towards the Sun with a Kamehameha to negate his regeneration abilities, being incinerated completely upon impact with the Sun.
  • Gantz: What the Hell is This? (2005; anime) [Daibutsu Statue Alien]: Killed when Kei Kurono (Chris Ayres), using the full power of his suit, penetrates the alien's skull.
  • One Punch Man: The Obsessive Scientist (2016; anime) [Carnage Kabuto]: Killed in a single punch by Max Mittelman. Note: This was an English dub of a scene in which Unshô Ishizuka played Carnage Kabuto.
  • Trigun Stampede: Bright Light, Shine through the Darkness (2023; anime) [E.G. the Mine]: Dies from blood loss after both his arms were cut off by Knives (Austin Tindle).
