- Hill Street Blues: Hill Street Station Pilot (1981) [Officer Bobby Hill]: Shot to in the line of duty, along with Charles Haid. The bodies are seen when Bruce Weitz discovers them. (Note: It was intended to be a death scene, but it was rewritten that his and Haid's characters survive for the rest of the series after their deaths were poorly received from test audiences.)
- In the Heat of the Night: The Hammer and the Glove (1988) [Matthew Pogue]: Shot to death by police (off-camera), after he suicidally points his own gun at them after walking out of Howard E. Rollins Jr.'s house; we only hear the shots from inside the house.
