I have noticed that you have been removing all the nudity alerts from the descriptions. Might I ask that you leave them there because it's very helpful when trying to seek out scenes. Especially horror movies, it's hard to find good scenes that I can post here without nudity. I believe more information is better, at least in this case! Thank you...
Yes, I deleted some Nudity Alert in the last days because I found inappropriate those alerts in cinemorgue. I found it inappropriate (if not puritanical) because most of the information shared on cinemorgue is about violent death scenes in movies. So, when it’s about naked bodies, we should write a warning in capital letters like if we addressing kids? If I’m following your puritanical logic, we should also write a warning for violent Death scene, and so on… So why only nudity? Is nudity that shameful to you?
If you ask me, it doesn’t make any sense because Cinemorgue is an adult wiki. The subject here is NOT for kids and they don’t have their place here because of 80% of death scene explain here are violent. So we should not warn any one regarding adult matters.
By the way, if I’m a Kid and I’m reading a Nudity Alert in bold and capital letters, the first thing I will do (if I want to see some naked breast) is go on the web to find that scene.
Whether anyone finds the nudity alerts inappropriate or not is not really the main issue, which is that the original site contains them as part of the listings and as such when the copying is made the entry is to remain intact: this includes the nudity alerts, cross-references to other films/performers/book reviews, contributor credits, and anything else which DeMan decided to include. It is very disrepectful to censor or alter the cointributions made by dozens of people for many years just because someone finds something they don't approve of.
" It is very disrepectful to censor or alter the cointributions"
Well, let me tell you dear anonymous contributor that many of the contributions I wrote before in this Wiki were changed by someone who thought his text was better (taking for example the page I wrote for actor John Morton that was literally butchered and reduce to the minimum). So, I know a lot about respecting other contributor’s texts as I was myself "censored" in the past. When I change something in a text, it’s because I am the original author or a major contributor. I did take off some nudity alerts that other contributors wrote after me and were not in the original text. However, we’re talking here about 4 or 5 times I took off nudity alert.
I am well aware that in the past you complained about some of your entries, I read everything you submit as I actually think that what you write is often better than the subsequent edit and you are right to complain, the same thing has happened to me and others. However, that is not censorship, just very poor editing and could be corrected by reinstating your original text.. As for the nudity alerts, if they are in the text from the original sites then you must not remove them. If someone adds a new page and includes an alert then again it should not be removed as the precedent is being followed. Your complaint here seems to be on your own submissions where you have left out the nudity detail and someone has added it. If that is the case then you have a problem, as the editor will put in the detail so that the particular entry is in line with all others. Do you really want to keep going back and re-edting the entries where someone has added an alert ?
I personally consider the "nudity alert" to be more of an additional detail, along the lines of the parenthetical notes for when a scene is played for comic effect. It's not so much a "warning" as it is a statement of fact.
First thing: Each time I had a page on this Wiki, I do a search to make sure I don't create a double, so something went wrong with the search engine.
Secondo, I really think my version was better with more interesting details. So, I bealive my text should be posted on the page to replace that short, meaningless and uninteresting version of Gary Lockwood death.
Now, let me had this; it is not the first time one of my texts is “butchered” on this wiki. If you are not interested to have diversity of writing among your contributors, please let me know and I will stop making contribution to this site.
It's a color action movie from the 60's or 70's. Two cops (one veteran and one rookie) are driving prisoners to a jail. They get ambushed by snipers while driving their truck on a remote and isolated mountain road. The youngest cup gets shot in the chest and die some time after receiving unsuccessful first-aid. Because the truck is now broken, the veteran cup has to go back to civilization with the 2 prisoners.
