    • Not quite sure how to do that.  What's the issue?

        Loading editor
    • The issue is that I edited the Katie Garfield page created by Cinemorgue1000 after I saw it appear under recent activity from an anonymous user. Cinemorgue1000 and I have had conflicts over certain formatting standards on this wiki and in an attempt to avoid conflict, I didn't change the formatting style he prefers to the formatting style I prefer. My edits were to fix clear problems with Cinemorgue1000's initial edit:

      1. Although there were images of the actress on the page, the main image was not an image of her. The main image was a prosthetic effect. I moved the images so the main image would be an actual image of the actress, as it should be.

      2. The death descriptions were overlong and overdetailed. This was particularly apparent with the Legacies death scene, which is four sentences and doesn't mention her manner of death until the third sentence. I re-wrote the descriptions to be more clear and to the point, without any mention of superfluous details - e.g. beginning her Legacies death description with exactly how she dies instead of burying it under unneeded information. There is no reason to begin the description with "Makes a seemingly miraculous recovery after being found apparently dead from a vampire bite" when she obviously didn't.

      3. The captions for the images were missing key information. The caption for the prosthetic image was claiming to be her, which is obviously incorrect. It's stating the obvious, but the caption should be accurate and establish that image is not her, it's a prosthetic of her. Images for The Devil's Hand and Legacies had other actors/actresses in them who weren't identified and needed to be so readers would know who they are. This was particularly important for The Devil's Hand image because there's another dead actress in it and readers wouldn't know for certain who was Katie Garfield and who was Nicole Elliott.

Cinemorgue1000 immediately became hostile after made these corrections telling me to "fuck off" for "making changes just for the sake of making changes", accusing me of being a stalker, and calling my changes "nonsense". As documented above, the edits I made were not "nonsense" and were necessary for the page. Making the main image an image of the actress instead of a prosthetic, making the death scene descriptions to the point, and making certain the image captions identify when the actress is not in the picture and anyone else who may be in the picture are all necessary images. Cinemorgue1000 has not given a valid reason for why he has been reverting these corrections and instead only chooses to insult. I don't have a problem with keeping his formatting style and images he uploaded on the page, but the corrections I made are absolutely necessary.

    • Sounds good to me Gsbr.  You have been one of the more reliable editors here, and I agree with all your points.  Main picture should be a picture of the actress and not an effect if possible.  Death describtions don't need to be overlong when they don't need to be.

Cinemorgue 1000, please watch the language.  I can understand we get pretty territorial of our hard work, but some changes need to be made to make this site more accessible.  Either way, what Gsbr says makes sense in terms of why the changes were made.

  • Never mind I apologize, I guess IMDB and Wikipedia is wrong which is unusually weird. I guess you just can`t trust these sites.

  • Hi there,

I have been having a problem with Gsbr for the past week. Whatever edits I have made on the articles related to the Resident Evil 3 video game pages and two cast members on the 2020 remake keeps getting reverted by the user with little rhyme or reason other than "being incorrect." The root of the problem I am having is whatever data I write in about Neil Newbon is "incorrect" despite the fact that the actor himself did the performance capture for the titular villain Nemesis, and it's the equivalent of being the physical actor and the stunt double for the villain in question.

I honestly believe his reverts have been done in bad faith just for the sake of "ownership" for the Resident Evil/Biohazard franchise, and this user has been acting ignorant just to fit his semantics on what is "appropriate" for Cinemorgue. I do not edit on wikis for the purpose of misinformation. If I find someting that is accurate, I always post it whenever I get the chance. If I find something that is inaccurate, I always correct the info whenever possible.

    • Better off locking down since the edit warring started already. No one is backing down on this.

    • Keeping the pages locked for now is a good idea. We can discuss what's best for the pages after this situation has calmed down.

  • Hey, Arbinoman! I'm Lostris, and I will be taking over from Mandy as this wiki's Wiki Manager. I'm not here to take over, quite the opposite. As a Wiki Manager, it is my job to assist you and this community on a more local level, so if you have any questions for staff or need any help, just drop me a message, and I'll be happy to help out. Aside from assisting this community with any possible issues, I am also here to help you out with the fun stuff, so if you have an idea or fun project that you don't quite know how to get off the ground or that you feel could use a little bit more Fandom love, do not hesitate to reach out and pitch me your idea! I will also be getting in contact with the rest of the admins in this community to introduce myself and inform them of my position.

Additionally, I have some design ideas for this wiki's background, main page, wordmark, and favicon. This wiki is very solid thanks to your efforts and the rest of the community, but I think it could do even better if it was enhanced with an attractive design. I hope to hear back from you and the other administrators, so we can discuss this and come up with some concrete ideas so everything will be to your liking! I look forward to getting to know you and work together with you and this community!

  • Will you be uploading images of more death scenes from Midway (2019)?

      Loading editor
    • As of right now, I won't. I watched it a few days ago and tried to get some shots, but most of them weren't great or didn't portray the actors before their deaths.

  • careful about putting a page on "Lock" mode. There could be other things about the page that need edits.

Side Notes are often helpful with suggestions.

I could mention that Zendaya's page received an unfortunate "Lock". It's confirmed by directors that her character died in 'Avengers: Infinity War', but people argued and it went on "Lock" with the entry removed!
