- Der rote Baron (2008) [Manfred von Richthofen]: Killed in action (off-screen)
- Night Train (2009) [Frankie]: Shot to death (off-screen) by Richard O'Brien after being shot and wounded by Leelee Sobieski; the scene ends with the unscreen Richard pointing a gun at Matthias. His body is shown afterwards when Danny Glover finds him.
- Resistance (2020) [Klaus Barbie]: Dies (off-screen) of Leukemia in 1991 whilst in prison. His death is mentioned in the closing text.
- Army of the Dead (2021) [Ludwig Dieter]: Eaten by the zombie Richard Cetrone after sacrificing himself to save Omari Hardwick by sealing Omari in a vault (off-screen); we last see him being dragged away as Omari watches helplessly. He returned to play the character in the prequel Army of Thieves (2021).
