- Species III (2004) [Specialist Robert Kelley]: Killed by hybrid offspring (off screen) we only see the outside of the windshield splattered with blood and Robert Knepper staring in shock.
- Mortal Kombat Legends: Battle for the Realms (2021; animated) [Kung Lao]: Killed by Fred Tatasciore after Fred catches Matthew's bladed hat and throws it into his chest and puts his hands inside the gaping wound ripping Matthew in half.
Video Game Deaths[]
- Transformers (2004) [Unicron]: Destroyed after his core was destroyed by the player character.
- Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (2007) [Pirates]: Playing an enemy variant, he can be killed at various points throughout the game.
- Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath (2020) [Fire God Liu Kang]: Depending on the player’s choice in the final battle, Matthew has his soul sucked by Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa if player chose to play as Cary. This ending is also established to be canon in the following game, Mortal Kombat 1, where it is revealed both endings resulted in parallel timelines, one where Cary won and one where Matthew won.
