- Alone in the Dark (2005) [Professor Lionel Hudgens]: Stabbed in the chest with a knife thrown by Stephen Dorff.
- The Wicker Man (2006) [Sea Plane Pilot]: Eyes gouged out, tongue ripped out and hands cut off (off-screen) by the villagers; we learn of his death when Nicolas Cage discovers his body.
TV Deaths[]
- One More Mountain (1994 TV) [George Donner]: Dies from starvation and an infection (off-screen). His death is confirmed in the on-screen text at the end of the film.
- The X-Files: Roland (1994) [Dr. Ronald Surnow]: Shattered and frozen by Zeljko Ivanek.
- Highlander: The Series: Homeland (1995) [Ian MacLeod]: Killed in battle (off-screen), by Carsten Norgaard, almost 400 years before the story begins. His body is seen when his "son" (Adrian Paul) finds his wife (Anna Hagan) sitting over it.
- The X-Files: Gethsemene (1997) [Arlinsky]: Shot and killed, along with James Sutorius, by Steve Makaj.
- Stargate SG-1: The Quest Part 2 (2007) [Merlin]: Dies of exhaustion while using the Repository of Knowledge, his body having deteriorated too much to sustain him; however, his mind and psychic abilities are recorded by the Repository, and are ultimately downloaded by Michael Shanks - allowing Matthew to live on in Michael's brain as a secondary personality.
- Stargate SG-1: The Shroud (2007) [Merlin]: Though Matthew technically doesn't appear in this episode, his personality (portrayed by Michael Shanks) sacrifices himself to stop the Ori invasion, using his psychic powers to erase himself from Michael's brain as soon as the Sangraal has been activated
