Deaths in Film[]

Bio Hunter (Baio hantâ) (1995) [Komada]: Impaled by Barry Stigler's tentacles during a fight; he comes back to life after finding the strength to return to the land of the living.

Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust (2000) [Borgoff]: Vaporized when Jack Fletcher uses his powers to destroy Matt's body.

Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within (2001; animated) [Major Elliot]: Accidentally shot to death when one of his soldiers is killed by one of the Phantoms, causing his body to flail and fire his gun, hitting Matt.

Silk Stalkings: Appearances (1996) [Gordon Keller]: Shot (off-screen) by Mary Elizabeth McGlynn and then dumped in the water. His body was retrieved by the coroners as Charlie Brill, Janet Gunn, and Chris Potter investigate his death.

Final Fantasy X (2001) [Auron]: Fatally injured by Yunalesca (voiced by Julia Fletcher), when she deflects his attack; he succumbs to his wounds and dies (off-screen) after traveling to the city of Bevelle and talking to Kimahri Ronso (voiced by John DiMaggio), some time before the game begins. The circumstances leading to his death are shown in a flashback just before the party fight Yunalesca; Matt appears throughout the game as an Unsent, until he is sent to the Farplane by Yuna (voiced by Hedy Burress) at the end of the game.

Kingdom Hearts II (2005) [Auron]: After being brought back to life by Hades (voiced by James Woods) in the Olympus Coliseum after the arrival of Sora (voiced by Haley Joel Osment), he willingly returns to the Afterlife by dispersing into Pyreflies during the closing credits of the game.
