Martha Scott (1912 - 2003)
- The Ten Commandments (1956) [Yochabel]: Dies (off-screen) of old age/natural causes; we learn of her death afterwards when Yul Brynner offhandedly mentions it to one of his men in front of Martha's son (Charlton Heston) (for this role she was made to appear much older than she actually was at the time; in real life, she was only 11 years older than her 'son' Charlton)
Note: the 1940 film "Our Town" ending was changed so that she survives.
- Columbo: Playback (1975) [Margaret Meadis]: Shot in the back by her son-in-law (Oskar Werner) as she tries to run. (Thanks to Lorenzo and Dignan)
- Mrs. Mel Powell (pianist/composer) (widowed)
