- The Other Boleyn Girl (2008) [Sir Thomas Boleyn]: The Epilogue mentions he died two years later in disgrace.
- Blitz (2011) [Chief Inspector James Roberts]: Beaten to death with a hammer by Aidan Gillen in Mark's apartment; his body is shown again lying on the floor as Aidan sets the apartment on fire.
- The Gunman (2015) [Cox]: Gored multiple times by a bull, after having been shot by Sean Penn.
- Ready Player One (2018) [James Halliday/Anorak]: Dies off-screen five years before the events of the film; Mark appears throughout in recordings and as his "Oasis" virtual reality avatar "Anorak". Mark finally appears "in person" to congratulate Tye Sheridan for completing the game, although whether this too is an avatar or some part of Mark's consciousness he has uploaded into the "Oasis" is left ambiguous.
- Don't Look Up (2021) [Peter Isherwell]: After arriving at a distant planet following a 22,000-year cryogenic sleep, he is presumably eaten by one of the planet's native birds after the movie ends.
- Bones and All (2022) [Sully]: Stabbed multiple times and eviscerated by Taylor Russell as Timothée Chalamet looks on.

- The Undeclared War (2022) [John Yeabsley]: Murdered (off-screen) by the Russians, his body is discovered buried in his back garden when an alert policewoman notices the soil under the flowerbed has been disturbed.
