- Frankenstein (1931) [Little Maria]: Drowned when Boris Karloff throws her into the lake, innocently imitating their game of throwing flowers into the water. Her body is shown afterwards when her father carries her through the village after discovering her. (the scene of Boris throwing her into the water was cut from the US release print, but has been restated in later restored editions).
